Where to get Guitars

  • Department Store: (Wal-Mart, K-mart, Toys-R-Us, Target, etc....) - Prices begin around $30. You will get what you pay for. Many of these guitars are of low quality and are barely above being toys; however, for a student who might not stick with the program, this is the affordable way to begin.
  • Music Store: (Pro Music and Sound, Authentic Guitars, Music and Arts Center) - Prices start at $100. These are quality instruments that will sound better and last longer.

Where to get Band Instruments

  • WWBW.COM (on-line): for purchasing an instrument. This company will give you a good price and carries only quality instruments. If you go on-line elsewhere, there are a number of instruments that are of poor quality and not worth your investment.
  • Music and Arts Center: go here to rent an instrument. They will charge you a monthly amount and you can stop any time. However, renting it until you own it will cost you much more than buying it outright. It is suggested that you rent an instrument for a short time before you purchase one.
